Editorial policy

This page says who is accountable for paycrunch.co, how a correction is handled, and how drafting assistance, affiliate links, and advertising are disclosed. The wage rules themselves — SOC codes, the 500-employee floor, and the refresh clocks — are on the methodology page. If a job page disagrees with the methodology, the methodology wins until the job page is repaired.

Who is responsible

Matt runs PayCrunch as an independent publisher in San Diego. There is not a newsroom of unnamed editors. Correspondence about a wage, a SOC code, a playbook step, or this policy goes to matt@paycrunch.co. The mailing address is on the About page and the contact page.

Corrections

Write with the page URL and the figure or sentence you think is wrong. The check is against the source file named on the page (BLS OEWS, IRS published brackets, or the occupation record a PayCrunch estimate was derived from), not against a preference. A confirmed error is corrected on the page. The monthly date stamp is not itself a claim that every sentence was rewritten that month.

Wages and estimates

AI-assisted drafting

PayCrunch does not claim that every sentence is written by a person with no software assistance. Two different processes are in use, and they are not the same thing:

A playbook step is an editorial description of work in that occupation. It is not a guarantee of a raise, a job, or a wage.

Affiliate links

Some job pages include a gear block with links to Amazon. Those are affiliate links. PayCrunch participates in the Amazon Associates program and may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. The associate tag is the one already printed on the link. Product identifiers are not invented, and a placeholder tracking ID is rejected. An affiliate link does not change the wage, the SOC code, or a playbook step.

Advertising and independence

Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-4897630241601050) is how the site is meant to be supported once advertising is allowed to serve. Ad units are not currently filled, and empty advertisement boxes are hidden. When ads do serve, they will be labelled and kept out of the pay answer, the wage table, and the playbook. Ads do not choose a SOC code or a recommended step. PayCrunch is not affiliated with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the IRS, or any other agency.
